About the SM301 Eco-Harvester

The Eco-Harvester is a revolutionary aquatic plant removal machine, uniquely designed to pull vegetation by the root system while also skimming floating weed fragments, algae blooms, and debris. Unlike traditional aquatic weed harvesters that merely cut plants, the Eco-Harvester effectively removes invasive species from the source, reducing regrowth and keeping waterways cleaner for longer.

With over 100 units sold worldwide as of 2025, this innovative harvester has been deployed across lakes, rivers, canals, and waterfront properties, offering an environmentally friendly and highly effective solution for aquatic vegetation management.

How the Eco-Harvester Works

At the core of the Eco-Harvester’s technology is its Dynamic Flow Intake System, which generates water current to draw aquatic plants toward its front drum. The submerged roller and conveyor mechanism grabs and pulls plants from the roots, preventing regrowth and eliminating the spread of invasive weeds.

For skimming operations, the drum is lifted out of the water while the lower roller/conveyor efficiently gathers floating algae, duckweed, and debris. This dual-functionality allows for faster and more efficient lake management, with speeds of 1–1.5 acres per hour for harvesting and 1.5–3 acres per hour for skimming.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Highly Effective – 95% success rate in uprooting aquatic vegetation
  • Durable Design – Aluminum hull for lightweight, rust-resistant performance
  • Hard Pipe Hydraulics – Improved durability and long-term reliability
  • Affordable – Costs one-third of traditional weed harvesters
  • Eco-Friendly – No need for chemicals, dredging, or herbicides
  • Easy to Operate – A true one-person operation from start to finish
  • Versatile – Effectively pulls, cuts, and skims weeds
  • Multi-Purpose – Skims floating debris, algae, and weed mats
  • Durable Design – Constructed from high-quality, internationally available components for easy repairs and replacements
  • Shallow Water Capability – Works in as little as 12” of water, making it ideal for docks, marinas, and hard-to-reach areas
  • Aluminum Hull – Lightweight and rust-resistant for increased durability
  • High Capacity – Holds up to 4 cubic yards of weeds per load
  • Self-Unloading System – Patented rotational conveyor technology allows quick unloading onto a truck, trailer, or shoreline
  • Optimized Maneuverability – Dual paddle wheel system prevents entanglement in weeds while ensuring smooth navigation

Why Choose the Eco-Harvester?

Unlike conventional weed-cutting harvesters that leave behind floating fragments—often causing further weed proliferation—the Eco-Harvester permanently removes aquatic vegetation. Its innovative design minimizes disruption to lake beds, making it the least invasive mechanical harvesting method available today. This makes it an ideal choice for:

  • Lake Associations & Conservation Groups – Maintain healthy aquatic ecosystems
  • Municipalities & Environmental Agencies – Control invasive species and improve water quality
  • Waterfront Property Owners & Contractors – Keep shorelines clean and navigable

Efficient & Scalable Lake Management

For maximum efficiency, the Eco-Harvester works best when paired with a nearby offload site or transport barge. If unloading is within close proximity, harvesting rates significantly increase.

  •  Harvesting Rate: 1–1.5 acres per hour
  • Skimming Rate: 1.5–3 acres per hour
  • Depth: Operates in water as shallow as 12 inches

Whether tackling invasive species like milfoil, hydrilla, water chestnut, or starry stonewort, or skimming algae blooms and floating debris, the Eco-Harvester is the most effective, eco-friendly, and affordable solution on the market.
